This exhibit promises to showcase an exciting new approach to many artists who regularly create in color. Black & White can be a challenging and gratifying way for any artist and observer to look at their work. With the absence of color you will feel an almost emotional new sense while looking at these works.

In other shows you will see categories of the “best” portrait, architecture, landscape, animals, color, etc. For the Black & White Show, we are looking for great technique. The subject is an important part of each work, but this show will concentrate on the best use of contrast, texture, composition, creative expression and the best of show. This way the subject doesn’t dictate how your piece will be judged.

All mediums are welcome, including photography, ink, painting, charcoal, pencil, pastels, textiles, glass, digital, jewelry, and sculpture. Please remember this is a Black & White Show and no color is allowed in the work, matting or frame—just black, white and gray.

This promises to be one of the best events we have held. We hope to see your work here in our gallery.
